Since 1976 when the MFA Program for Writers was founded, our graduates have published over 1500 books of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, and have won scores of prizes for their publications, including the Rona Jaffe Foundation Writer’s Award, Lambda Literary Prizes, Laughlin Prize, Kate Tufts Award, Alice Fay diCastagnola Award, Agnes Lynch Starrett Award, Mary McCarthy Prize in Fiction, and numerous other national, international, regional, and publisher awards.
