Announcing Our New Creative Nonfiction Track
We’re thrilled to announce something we’ve been building toward for years: The MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson is launching a brand-new Creative Nonfiction track!
Beginning with the January 2026 residency, applicants can now apply in creative nonfiction—a genre that demands both craft and courage. With the same rigor, flexibility, and transformative mentorship that define our fiction and poetry tracks, our CNF offering is here to meet the moment.
In a time when so many writers of witness feel called to tell their stories and engage deeply with the world, this new track opens the door for those ready to explore memoir, lyric essay, autofiction, and more in all its layered, luminous forms.
Built for those who want to grow not just as writers, but as thinkers, artists, and human beings.
Applications are due September 1 for January admission.
We can’t wait to read your work.
